Crusher in the Tushar

    Crusher in the Tushar Gravel

Crusher in the Tushar is one of the most iconic mixed-terrain races in the U.S., set in the remote Tushar Mountains of Southern Utah. Known for its elevation, beauty, and brutality, the race challenges riders with a course that is equal parts road and gravel, designed to push both physical and mental limits.

The main 69.9-mile route climbs over 10,000 feet and blends roughly 60% gravel with 40% tarmac. Starting in the small town of Beaver, riders ascend deep into alpine terrain, crossing streams, climbing steep grades, and finishing at elevation at Eagle Point Resort. A shorter 37-mile “Half Crushed” option is available, featuring more than 6,000 feet of climbing and the same stunning mountain views.

With its high elevation, rugged terrain, and sustained climbing, Crusher in the Tushar is not just a gravel race—it’s a true test of endurance. Riders must be prepared for a variety of conditions, from heat in the valley to chilly mountain air near the summit.

This event attracts elite racers and passionate amateurs alike, all drawn by the challenge, the community, and the unparalleled beauty of Utah’s backcountry. Crusher in the Tushar delivers one of the most memorable race-day experiences on the American gravel calendar.
