The Happy Valley Grit is a gravel race held at Carvins Cove in Roanoke, Virginia. The event features two route options, starting together in a mass start at 10am.

The 15-mile route is an out-and-back course on the Happy Valley Fire Road with 720 feet of elevation gain. The 30-mile route follows the same initial path, then adds a climb up Brushy Mountain Fire Road to an aid station at the Buck Trail intersection, turning around at Hinchee Trail. The total elevation gain for the 30-mile course is 3,305 feet.

Aid stations are provided on course, with support from Just the Right Gear and Trek Bicycle Roanoke. Post-race, riders are provided with pizza and hot beverages at the finish line. All participants who register before November 23rd will receive a race t-shirt, and there are prizes for top performers in each category.
