Gravel tires & components
Tires and wheels change how a gravel bike feels more than almost any other part. Tread, casing and width decide grip and comfort on loose surfaces, while rim width and depth affect how a tire sits and how the wheel handles crosswinds.
These are the gravel tires, wheels and components we have approved. Specifications such as sizes and compatibility come from the retailer — always check them against your frame and fork.

What to look for
Check clearance first
Your frame and fork set the maximum tire width. Leave room for mud between the tire and the frame.
Match tire and rim
Rim internal width affects the shape and real width of a tire. Retailers list the supported tire range for each wheel.
Pressure depends on you
The right tire pressure depends on rider and bike weight, tire size, rim width, terrain and tubeless setup. Follow the tire and rim limits.
Common questions
What tire width is best for gravel?
There is no single best width. Narrower tires suit smooth, fast roads; wider tires add comfort and grip on rough or loose gravel. Your frame clearance sets the limit.
