Mother North is an unsupported bikepacking event starting and finishing in Lillehammer, Norway. Covering roughly 1,100 kilometres with approximately 18,000 metres of elevation gain, the fixed route navigates mixed terrain including gravel roads, mountain passes, trails, and paved sections linking highland villages and fjords.

Riders must navigate using the provided GPS track and roadbook, which are released a few weeks prior to departure. The event requires participants to be self-sufficient, managing their own resupply, mechanical repairs, and accommodation along the way. Mandatory insurance covering liability, accidents, health, emergency extraction, and repatriation is required for all entrants.
