ZIG ZAG Gravel is a three-day semi-supported gravel tour traveling from Munich into the Bavarian Alpine foothills and back. The ride is designed around small group departures, operating across multiple dates over the summer season rather than one large mass-start event.

Riders can choose daily between two route variants: ZIG, an easier route option, and ZAG, an extended route covering more distance and elevation gain. Riders are free to switch between the two options mid-ride depending on how they feel.

The event includes two nights of accommodation at the Urige Hütte in Jachenau. Food and drinks are provided before and after the rides, and luggage transport is included so participants can cycle unencumbered during the day. Rental equipment such as Wahoo GPS units and bike bags can be arranged during registration.

Participation is open to riders 18 and older, or 16 and older when accompanied by a legal guardian. Current schedules, ticket bookings, and route information can be found on the official event website.
