Matschfuss Lübeck is an organized, non-competitive gravel cycling event produced by the Plattfuss Podcast crew. The ride emphasizes community riding rather than competition, with participants following a route between 100 and 120 kilometers in length.

The event area opens at 8:00 AM at the VfB Lübeck grounds (b.d. der Lohmühle 13, 23554 Lübeck), featuring breakfast and coffee served in partnership with CycleRoasters. A mandatory event briefing and code of conduct announcement takes place at 9:30 AM, followed by the group start at 10:00 AM. In the evening, the venue hosts food trucks and live music beginning at 6:00 PM.

The route is not signposted, requiring riders to navigate via GPS. GPX files are released shortly before the event via Komoot and direct download. Around the 60-kilometer mark, an aid station provides snacks, hydration, and vegan food options. Finishing riders receive non-alcoholic beer at the festival grounds.

Organizers advise participants to ride an off-road-capable gravel bike or mountain bike equipped with knobby tires at least 40 mm wide to handle loose terrain and potential mud. Riders must carry basic repair supplies, including spare tubes and tire levers.
