The Gravel of Marathon is a UCI Gravel World Series race held in the historic city of Marathon, Greece. It is the first event of the series to take place in the country and serves as a qualifier for the 2027 UCI Gravel World Championships. In each race, the top 25% of finishers in each age group earn a place at the world championships.

The event offers two route distances: a 95 km course with 1,210 meters of elevation, and a shorter 65 km option. The main terrain for the event is the area around the artificial Lake Marathon. The route is approximately 75% on unpaved surfaces, including dirt, rocky sections, shallow stream crossings, and soft ground beside the lake, connected by asphalt and rural roads. Due to the mixed terrain, the organizers recommend a gravel bike with tires no narrower than 40-45mm. Cyclocross and mountain bikes are also permitted, but road bikes are not allowed. Riders aiming to qualify for the World Championships should note that UCI regulations require drop handlebars.
