Matschfuss Kiel - The Original is a non-competitive gravel event held over two days in Kiel, organized by the Plattfuss Podcast team. The ride emphasizes community riding and fun rather than racing, operating under a code of conduct based on mutual support, environmental respect, and inclusivity.

Based out of the Velocenter Kiel (Eichkamp 11-13), the event offers rides on both Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, riders depart at 10:00 AM on a route between 100 km and 120 km, featuring an on-course checkpoint with food, water, and vegan nutrition options at around the 60-kilometer mark. On Sunday, participants can choose between a 100 km ride starting at 10:00 AM and a 65 km route option departing at 11:00 AM.

The course is not signposted, with organizers sharing navigation tracks via GPX and komoot shortly before the weekend. Riders are advised to use a GPS bike computer and off-road capable gravel bikes or mountain bikes with knobby tires of at least 40 mm width, along with puncture repair equipment. Registration is open to riders 18 and older, with on-site morning breakfast, post-ride food trucks, and live music scheduled each evening.
