Horcones Gravel, also presented as the Horcones Gravel Fest, takes place at Comunidad Los Horcones in the municipality of La Colorada, Sonora. The gathering operates out of the community grounds on Carretera a Tecoripa and connects riders with dirt roads through rural ranches and small towns in northern Mexico.

The event offers two primary route options: a 100 km route and a 60 km route. Both itineraries navigate regional gravel passages in the surrounding Sonoran countryside, with Strava tracks supplied for rider navigation. Event-day activities run from 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM, centered on group riding, shared meals, and community hospitality.

Organized by the Los Horcones community, the cycling initiatives grew out of decades of riding dating back to 1990. Alongside hosting cycling camps and events, the community operates a boarding school founded in 1971, grows its own food, and produces Bacanora at the local Palo Blanco distillery.
