The WOS Gravel event in Uberlândia offers a distinct challenge on the quiet roads of Minas Gerais. This gravel race in Brazil invites riders to explore two demanding distances, 160 km and 100 km, through the region’s characteristic rolling terrain. The event is grounded in the simple rhythm of gravel under tyres, providing a pure and focused riding experience. It is a day to test endurance and connect with a landscape far from the everyday, celebrating the spirit of adventure that defines gravel cycling.

Participants can choose their challenge, with two primary solo gravel categories. The longer 160 km route is designed for those looking to push their limits, while the 100 km option provides a significant but more accessible day on the bike. The parcours are crafted to showcase the local scenery, winding through rural landscapes that define this part of the country. Careful preparation will be key, as the combination of distance and terrain demands both physical strength and mental resilience from every rider.

A special feature of the event is the MTB Duo category, where pairs can tackle the 100 km course together on mountain bikes. This format emphasizes teamwork and shared experience, requiring partners to start, ride, and finish as a single unit. Checkpoints along the route ensure the spirit of the duo challenge is maintained. It’s an opportunity for friends or partners to share the journey, navigating the course and supporting each other from start to finish. This category adds a unique collaborative element to the weekend.

The organization provides comprehensive support to ensure a safe and memorable experience. Riders receive an athlete kit that includes a timing chip, event jersey, and other commemorative items. Along the routes, hydration and nutrition stations will be available, and a specialized remote rescue team will be on hand. This level of support allows participants in the official event website to focus on their effort and the expansive Brazilian scenery, knowing that logistics are well managed.

Beyond the competition, WOS Gravel fosters a sense of community. The event includes prize ceremonies for top finishers in both overall and age group categories, with trophies for the top five. All finishers receive a medal to commemorate their accomplishment. This gathering of riders in Uberlândia is more than just a race; it’s a shared celebration of effort, a day of tough but rewarding riding, and a fine example of a premier gravel race in Brazil.
