The Safari Gravel Race is a qualifier for the UCI Gravel World Series and the championship event of the LOOP Safari Gravel Race series. The event is held in Hell’s Gate National Park in Naivasha, a landscape noted by the organizers as the inspiration for the film The Lion King, with a high likelihood of spotting plains animals during the ride.

There are two distance options. The 110 km route has 2500 meters of elevation and is the qualifying distance for Elite riders, men aged 19-59, and women aged 19-49. A shorter 60 km option with 1000 meters of elevation serves as the qualifier for men aged 60+ and women aged 50+.

The race village, including the start and finish, is located in Sulmac Village, south of Lake Naivasha. According to the organizers, this is about a two-hour drive from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. A finisher's party is held at Camp Carnellies. A wide range of accommodation is available nearby, from hotels and safari lodges to campsites.

Riders who finish in the top 25% of their category will qualify for the UCI Gravel World Championships. The first three riders in each official category also qualify directly. For full details and registration, please see the official event website.
