The Fall Mountain Gravel Ramble offers a week-long bikepacking adventure in Colorado, tracing a supported route through the heart of the mountains. This is an invitation to immerse yourself in the landscape, a point-to-point journey from Basalt to Buena Vista, Salida, Gunnison, and beyond, before looping back. With the support of a gear truck, riders are free to focus on the rhythm of the road and the high-altitude scenery, carrying only what they need for the day.

Each day presents a new chapter of this bikepacking adventure in Colorado. The stages vary in length and intensity, from a 40-mile ride between Buena Vista and Salida to an 84-mile day culminating in Gunnison. Riders are encouraged to set their own pace — to ride with the group, push ahead, or find moments of solo reflection amidst the vastness. The structure is designed for flexibility, allowing the personal experience to unfold naturally within the framework of a shared journey.

The route is a defining feature of this journey, a testament to the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Expect significant climbing and descending each day, with elevations gains often exceeding 7,000 feet. The daily routes, such as the 83-mile opening stage with 8,700 feet of climbing, demand preparation and a well-maintained bike. This is classic mountain terrain, where the gravel under your tyres is a constant companion through quiet forests and across open vistas.
