The Discover Israel Race is a self-supported, ultra-distance bikepacking event that crosses the length of Israel. The race begins in Nahariya on the Mediterranean coast and finishes over 1,000 kilometers later in Eilat on the Red Sea.

Riders can choose between two distinct routes: a 1,156-kilometer MTB route with approximately 12,960 meters of climbing on trails and singletrack, and a 1,021-kilometer gravel route with 14,450 meters of climbing on faster, wider dirt roads. The route travels from the forests of the Galilee, through the Jerusalem hills, and into the desert. Participants ride entirely self-supported, with no support vehicles or aid stations provided.

The course is broken into ten stages, starting with the steep climbs of the Upper Galilee and Golan Heights, descending to the Jordan Valley below sea level, crossing the center of the country towards Jerusalem, and then entering the Negev desert for the final push south. The format is a solo or pair challenge, with options to ride the full course or a half-distance. More information and registration details can be found on the official event website.
