IT’S A TWO-DAY CYCLE RIDE BETWEEN MOSS AND KARLSTAD.
WITH A FEW MODEST CHANGES, THE RACE WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE UNIONSLEDEN, A 350 KILOMETER LONG CYCLE BETWEEN MOSS, BENGTSFORS AND KARLSTAD.
THE UNION RIDE INVITES TO A CYCLING PARTY IN BENGTSFORS BETWEEN THE FIRST AND SECOND STAGE. THERE WILL BE GOOD FOOD, MUSIC AND ENTERTAINMENT.
THE UNION RIDE OPERATES WITH THE FOLLOWING CLASSES:
-
GRAVEL- ELITE
-
GRAVEL
THE RACE WILL HAVE A COMMON START FOR ALL ENTRIES WITH A FEW MINUTES SPACE BETWEEN GRAVEL-ELITE AND GRAVEL.
The competition will be held at Unionsleden. This is a cycle path that is well signposted. On the riding days, the route will be even better marked.
Even though the Union Ride is supposed to be a gravel ride, we answer yes when people ask if you can ride a mountain bike or a road bike. The route is easy cycling, and there are many asphalt sections. The gravel roads are well maintained and should represent little danger if you prefer road cycling. The only thing you should do is replace the tires with a rougher version.
