Piemontgravel is a non-competitive, self-supported bikepacking event for gravel and MTB riders, set amid the stunning landscapes of Piedmont.
Now in its 6th edition, Piemontgravel has evolved from a 30-year territorial exploration project into one of Italy’s leading gravel events — the most popular in Piedmont and a benchmark for adventure cycling in the region.
Its goal is to showcase Piedmont in all its diversity: from the provinces of Cuneo, Turin, and Asti to the UNESCO World Heritage landscapes, cultural treasures, and culinary traditions of Langhe, Roero, and Monferrato.
Given the varied terrain, a gravel bike is recommended, though a front-suspension MTB is equally suitable due to the high proportion of unpaved roads and single-track paths.
Updated annually, the routes combine technical sections and breathtaking scenery, guiding riders along gravel roads, trails, and short stretches of secondary paved roads — all against the backdrop of the Alps.
Participants can choose from four routes:
il 111: 111 km, +1,700 m
il 222: 222 km, +2,800 m
il 333: 333 km, +4,500 m
il 444: 444 km, +6,000 m
The start and finish are at the main base camp in Bra (Province of Cuneo), set in a historic brick building surrounded by nature — a truly Piedmontese experience. Riders will also have the chance to stop at two intermediate base camps along the routes.
Discover northern Italy as you’ve never seen it before.
