The Northeast Bikepacking Summit is a four-day community gathering designed to bring together bikepackers of all backgrounds for a weekend of learning, connection, and adventure. Set in the scenic countryside of Amenia, New York, this inclusive event welcomes everyone—from experienced long-haul riders to those just discovering the joys of bikepacking.
The summit blends education, hands-on workshops, and guided riding experiences into one immersive weekend. Riders can participate in expert-led sessions on topics such as gear setup, route planning, navigation, and sustainable travel practices, while connecting with local organizers, route builders, and fellow adventurers.
An open-air expo and makers mart will showcase handmade gear, custom bikepacking solutions, and innovative products from grassroots cycling brands and creators. The atmosphere is informal, supportive, and all about celebrating the spirit of self-supported travel.
The weekend also includes social rides through the picturesque Harlem Valley, along with a selection of overnight trips for those ready to roll out and sleep under the stars:
Rudd Pond Loop – A 37-mile out-and-back ride with a mix of pavement and optional gravel, offering a low-stress intro to overnight bikepacking.
Copake Falls Adventure – A 76-mile loop with over 5,000 ft of climbing for riders seeking more elevation and mixed terrain challenges.
Whether you’re coming to learn, explore, or simply meet like-minded people, the Northeast Bikepacking Summit is about building community, expanding access to adventure, and celebrating what it means to travel by bike.
Ride together. Camp together. Grow the bikepacking movement.
