Event Description
Nordøst Gravel is a gravel cycling adventure set in the quiet, expansive landscapes of eastern Norway, where long forest roads, open farmland, and rolling terrain create a uniquely Nordic gravel experience. Far from traffic and crowds, this event invites riders to explore a region defined by space, simplicity, and rhythm.
The routes lead riders through endless gravel roads, pine forests, lakeside tracks, and rural valleys where riding becomes meditative and immersive. Elevation is present but never extreme, allowing riders to settle into long, steady efforts while covering meaningful distance. The terrain rewards patience, pacing, and an appreciation for solitude rather than explosive power.
Nordøst Gravel is designed to be accessible yet authentic. Riders of different experience levels can choose routes that match their ambition, whether seeking a relaxed day on smooth gravel or a longer journey through remote countryside. Navigation is GPX-based, giving riders the freedom to ride at their own tempo while staying connected to the route.
The event focuses on atmosphere as much as terrain. Start and finish areas become social gathering points where riders connect, share stories, and celebrate a day spent outdoors. Local hospitality and a calm, welcoming environment reflect the character of the region itself.
Nordøst Gravel is about rediscovering the joy of simple riding — long roads, quiet landscapes, and the steady sound of gravel under tyres. It’s an event for riders who value exploration, flow, and the understated beauty of Scandinavian backroads.
Nordøst Gravel — endless gravel roads, Nordic landscapes, and the freedom to ride far and free in eastern Norway.
