Event Description
La Piste Berbère is a new immersive gravel adventure set in the heart of southern Morocco, where mountain ranges fade into desert plateaus and ancient routes connect remote Berber villages. Designed as a journey rather than a race, this six-day gravel experience invites riders to slow down, explore deeply, and engage fully with the landscapes and cultures they cross.
Taking place between the High Atlas Mountains and the rugged Jebel Saghro, the route covers 500 kilometres with 6,500 metres of climbing, split into daily stages ranging from approximately 53 to 104 km. Navigation is GPS-based, and riders may participate solo or in pairs, without rankings, time pressure, or competitive elements. The emphasis is on riding, discovering, and sharing — a gravel experience rooted in adventure and respect for place.
La Piste Berbère offers an ideal playground for gravel riding. The terrain is demanding and spectacular, alternating between mountain tracks, high desert plateaus, winding valleys, and traditional Berber settlements. Nights are spent in carefully chosen accommodations and bivouacs, reinforcing the feeling of immersion and connection to the land. Every day brings a new rhythm, a new horizon, and a new chapter of the journey.
With participation capped at 60 riders, the event prioritises quality, intimacy, and authenticity. The organisation places strong focus on the rider experience, local involvement, and environmental respect — working closely with local partners, accommodation providers, and communities to ensure the adventure benefits the region as well as those who ride through it.
