Village Gravel

    Village Gravel

Village Gravel is a high-altitude gravel race and all-out celebration of the sport, set in the forested foothills of Flagstaff, Arizona. Hosted at the scenic Village Camp resort, this weekend-long event blends world-class gravel riding with community vibes, mountain hospitality, and festival-style energy.

Riders choose between three route options—30, 60, or 100 miles—each combining Flagstaff’s signature gravel roads, punchy paved climbs, and fast-flowing singletrack. The terrain is diverse and unpredictable, delivering just the right balance of endurance, technical challenge, and rewarding scenery. Long climbs, forest roads, alpine meadows, and rugged descents all play a part in shaping the route.

Village Gravel isn’t just about race day. It kicks off Friday night with the Gravel Crit, a short-track spectacle under the lights that invites all riders—competitive and casual—to join a fast, fun, and social showdown. Spectator-friendly and packed with energy, the crit sets the tone for a weekend full of connection and camaraderie.

The venue, Village Camp Flagstaff, serves as a centralized hub for everything: start/finish, accommodation, meals, music, and recovery. With modern cabins, RV sites, a bistro bar, hot tubs, and fire pits, the resort is built for riders to relax, hang out, and stay awhile.

Saturday’s races finish with a post-ride celebration featuring local food trucks, Arizona craft beer, live music, and good company. Whether chasing a personal record or enjoying a first-ever gravel event, riders will find both challenge and reward on and off the course.

Village Gravel is built for those who love to ride, connect, and experience something more. It’s where the grit of gravel meets the warmth of community—all set in one of the most beautiful high-altitude riding zones in the American Southwest.
