The Sneak Peaks Entree is the entry point into one of Europe’s most ambitious bikepacking challenges. At 500 km, this is the shortest of the Sneak Peaks routes, but don’t mistake it for easy. Starting in Bolzano, the gateway to the Dolomites, riders are immediately immersed in alpine terrain that combines steep paved ascents, fast gravel descents, and quiet forest tracks.
The route leads into Slovenia’s Triglav National Park, where dramatic peaks and rugged valleys test endurance as much as they inspire awe. While shorter in distance than the Classic or Adventure options, the Entree is packed with elevation gain and technical variety that demand both fitness and determination.
Riders must remain entirely self-sufficient: no outside assistance, no shortcuts, and no pre-arranged support. GPS files guide the way, alpine rifugios serve as simple checkpoints, and all logistics—sleeping, eating, repairing—fall on the rider. It’s an accessible option for riders taking their first step into unsupported bikepacking, but still a serious challenge in one of Europe’s most spectacular settings.
