Event Description
Ride & Roast is a multi-day gravel adventure that blends cycling, coffee culture, and immersive travel into a single experience. Set in the rolling hills and remote backroads of Rwanda, the event offers a unique journey where long days on gravel are matched by visits to coffee farms, local communities, and carefully curated overnight stops.
This is not a race. Ride & Roast is designed as a small-group gravel expedition focused on exploration, connection, and shared experience. Riders travel together across varied terrain, following scenic gravel roads that wind through rural landscapes, lush hillsides, and quiet countryside far from traffic. Each day balances steady riding with cultural stops, allowing time to discover the region beyond the bike.
Coffee is at the heart of the experience. The route connects riders with Rwanda’s renowned coffee culture through farm visits, tastings, and shared brewing moments along the way. These pauses create a rhythm that defines the event: ride, stop, taste, continue. The result is a journey where endurance and enjoyment coexist.
Groups remain intentionally small to preserve the sense of intimacy and community. Riders share accommodations, meals, and stories across the trip, creating an atmosphere that feels closer to an expedition than a traditional cycling event. A support structure ensures logistics run smoothly while still keeping the adventure authentic and engaging.
