The Gravel Rallye Rhine Valley in May is another outstanding gravel event of the Gravel Rallye Series presented by Propain, taking place in the cycling paradise of Kaiserstuhl. Nestled in the picturesque Rhine plain between the Black Forest and the Vosges, in close proximity to Freiburg, this gravel event offers a unique atmosphere on a modern winery.
You can expect striking vineyard terraces, idyllic wine villages, and so-called ‘hollow lanes’ of the small volcanic origin mountain. Fantastic 360° panoramic views provide perfect breathing moments.
You’ll encounter spicy ascents and descents with fast, curvy forest and gravel roads. Meadow tracks and old asphalt roads ensure plenty of variety and demand good grip and some technical skill. There is no mass start – we begin in small, family-like groups of 10. Simply arrive at the starting line, either alone or with your group, and off you go!
