RAVAL EXTREME is a bikepacking adventure starting in Valencia. Participants must complete the 800+ km and 13,000m route following a pre-defined track in a maximum of 110 hours , being completely self-sufficient . They can ride the route on their gravel bikes or mountain bikes. Adventure, nature, and a love of cycling are guaranteed.
THE ROUTE
The route begins and ends in the capital of the Turia region. Over more than 800 km and 13,000 meters of elevation gain , you’ll cross several different provinces, passing through several natural parks and protected areas of great ecological value.
Most of the route takes place on forest tracks and rural roads , allowing you to experience a true off-road bikepacking adventure. You’ll also encounter stretches of rough asphalt, some trails, and several Hike & Bike sections that will push your endurance to the limit.
The highest point of the route will be Pico de Javalambre, at over 2,000 meters above sea level . You’ll enter very remote areas, so choosing your stopping strategy wisely will be crucial. The route will feature six virtual checkpoints.
