El Mito Challenge

El Mito Challenge is not just a gravel race — it’s an intercontinental cycling journey where Europe and Africa meet. Traversing the historic Strait of Gibraltar, El Mito is a bold adventure across two continents, uniting riders through culture, terrain, and the shared rhythm of gravel riding. This is not just about distance — it’s about discovery.

The route begins in Ronda, one of Spain’s most breathtaking cities, perched high above a deep gorge and known for its iconic Puente Nuevo bridge. From there, riders head south through Andalusia’s whitewashed villages, olive groves, and rolling hills before reaching the southern coastline. Then comes one of the event’s most symbolic elements: a ferry crossing to Morocco — linking Europe and Africa by sea, tradition, and adventure.

On the other side lies Tetouan, the cultural heart of northern Morocco. Known for its rich Andalusian heritage and one of the most authentic, UNESCO-recognized medinas in the Maghreb, Tetouan marks both the finish line and a powerful new beginning. Along the way, riders experience two stages, spanning hundreds of kilometers across ancient trading routes, coastal plains, and stunning mountain backdrops.

El Mito is about more than just performance — it’s a tribute to classic cycling, to borderless exploration, and to the adventure spirit that gravel riding embodies. The event is self-supported and raw by design, inviting riders to embrace the freedom of the open road and the connection between landscapes and people. You’ll pedal through remote terrain, encounter welcoming villages, and share in a collective journey unlike any other.

Whether you’re riding for the challenge, the culture, or the story you’ll tell when it’s over, El Mito delivers an unforgettable experience — a once-in-a-lifetime ride where continents meet and gravel becomes myth.

Two continents. One ride. Welcome to El Mito.
